Scott Kipper has once again been appointed as Insurance Commissioner at the Nevada Division of Insurance effective Feb. 27, 2023. The appointment was made following the resignation early January of Barbara Richardson, who had served as Commissioner since March 2016.
DOI Deputy Commissioner Nick Stosic has served as the Interim Commissioner since the resignation of Commissioner Richardson. Nick Stosic will continue his state service doing legislative work for the Department of Business and Industry.
Scott Kipper has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including prior stints as Nevada Insurance Commissioner from 2008 to 2010 and again from 2011 to 2015. He most recently served as the Deputy Director of Operations for the State of Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner.
